Cherry Cake

  • 1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup cherries


Combine first 5 ingredients. Sift 2 cups flour and baking powder. Add to mixture. Toss remaining flour with cherries. Fold into batter. Grease 10" tube pan. Pour in batter.

Bake at 325 for 1 hour, 10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes, then remove from pan.
