Baked Beans
- 1 package dried beans
- water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped bacon
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Soak beans in water overnight. Place in pot and simmer 1/2 hour. Place all ingredients (along with beans) in casserole dish. If needed, add boiling water to cover beans. Bake at 250 for 6 - 8 hours. Stir occasionally, making sure that beans are always covered with water. Remove cover during the last 1/2 hour of baking.
